A human-powered network for sovereign and sustainable agriculture

At the heart of the Congo Basin, the KONG Network embodies a new vision for agriculture: more human, more equitable, and resolutely future-focused. Built around a network of over 1,000 small-scale producers across the Republic of the Congo, this ambitious initiative was born from a simple yet powerful insight: the region’s natural resources and artisanal know-how are immense assets, still underutilized on both national and global markets.

Khonsou Group is committed to turning this potential into lasting impact. By supporting family-run farms that practice organic agriculture inspired by permaculture and promoting short supply chains, we are restoring meaning to the food value chain—from the soil to the plate.

A thriving local economy with global ambition

The KONG Network is based on a business model rooted in local communities, with a direct and measurable impact:

  • Creation of long-term jobs in rural area
  • Improved agricultural incomes
  • Stronger local and international value chains
  • Reduced reliance on chemical inputs and imports

Through Khonsou Group’s technical and commercial support, farmers gain access to new market opportunities, while improving their productivity and economic resilience.

The project is supported by the Republic of the Congo and the World Bank through the Commercial Agriculture Development Project (PDAC), reinforcing its credibility and scale.

A strong and inclusive social impact

Beyond economic outcomes, the KONG Network drives a paradigm shift for younger generations. Through training programs in agriculture and R&D, we are helping to:

  • Build a new generation of agro-entrepreneurs
  • Promote responsible agroecological practices
  • Ensure intergenerational transmission of knowledge
  • Restore pride in rural livelihoods

Each farmer becomes an active contributor to a sovereign, sustainable food system, rooted in environmental stewardship, health, and cultural heritage.

Real products, from a living world

Thanks to mindful farming practices and a strong connection to local ecosystems, our producers deliver a range of high-quality organic foods and crafts, traceable and aligned with international market standards.

These products reflect a land, a commitment, and a promise: a fair, resilient, and place-based food system.
